Yes. Conductor Deck communicates with Stream Deck through the official Elgato software running on your computer. Make sure it is open before running actions.

Can I trigger actions on a Stream Deck that is not plugged in?

No. The Stream Deck must be connected via USB to the computer where the Conductor Deck plugin is installed. Wireless Stream Deck models (Stream Deck Mobile) are not yet supported.

What happens if the target Stream Deck plugin is not installed?

The action will fail with a readiness state of needs_setup. The Activity Log will show which plugin UUID is missing so you can install it from the Stream Deck store.

Can I pass custom data to a Stream Deck plugin action?

Yes. Use the Plugin Action Parameters field to send arbitrary key-value pairs that the plugin can read and act upon.
